If you share our commitment to transitioning to a low-carbon future, this might be the right job for you. We are currently seeking a Lead Piping Designer to join our team based in Barcelona, Spain, to lead the purchasing activities for the project.

Job Description

Main Responsibilities:

  • Take full responsibility for the design activities of an assigned unit.
  • Learn and handle applicable job specifications, piping classes, standards, and working instructions necessary for the correct development of assigned work.
  • Transmit instructions to and manage an assigned design team.
  • Develop the most critical designs and support less experienced designers.
  • Coordinate with other specialists involved in the studies (civil, stress, material, supports) and follow up on interfaces.

Requirements:

  • Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering.
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in companies providing engineering services to the Chemical, Refining, or Petrochemical industries.
  • Knowledge of Microstation and PDS.
  • Knowledge of ASME B31.1 and B31.3 codes, ANSI, and ASME standards.
  • Knowledge of SmartPlant 3D and PDMS.
