About the role

As a Process & Reliability Engineer at Plant Parterna, you will lead process optimization initiatives aimed at enhancing efficiency, reducing waste, and improving quality. Your expertise in reliability engineering will be crucial in minimizing equipment downtime, thereby ensuring maximum productivity. You will work closely with engineering, maintenance, and production teams to troubleshoot equipment issues, identify improvement opportunities, and implement solutions that boost our overall operational efficiency.

Your daily adventure at Storio:

  • Process Optimization:
  • Analyze current production processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Lead or participate in Kaizen events and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and implement standardized work instructions and procedures to optimize production flow and quality.
  • Utilize statistical process control (SPC) and other data analysis tools to monitor process performance and identify trends.
  • Work closely with the production team to understand their requirements and identify opportunities for improvement, using RCA, VSM, and Kaizen events and other Lean tools to optimize processes and eliminate waste.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and standards, and use Lean principles to identify and eliminate safety hazards and risks.
  • Develop comprehensive process flow diagrams, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and associated technical documentation.
  • Lead or participate in cross-functional teams to execute process improvement and reliability projects.
  • Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets.
  • Track project progress and ensure timely completion within budget constraints.
  • Reliability Engineering:
  • Analyze equipment failure data to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and execute preventative and predictive maintenance plans to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Utilize reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) principles to optimize maintenance strategies.
  • Collaborate with maintenance technicians to troubleshoot equipment issues and implement repairs.
  • Conduct regular inspections and testing of equipment to identify potential issues before they become critical, and develop preventive maintenance plans based on the results.
  • Identify and implement improvements to equipment and processes to increase efficiency and reduce downtime, using Kaizen events and other Lean methodologies to continuously improve the plant's operations.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to other members of the engineering and maintenance teams.

What you bring to the party:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of maintenance best practices and reliability engineering principles, as well as Lean methodology and problem-solving tools such as RCA, VSM, and Kaizen events
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to identify and solve complex problems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with other departments and stakeholders
  • Fluent in English
