ROLE SUMMARY:A well-established international British secondary school in Madrid is seeking an enthusiastic and experiencedTeacher of Computer Scienceto join its dynamic faculty. The successful candidate will teach Computing and Computer Science across Key Stages 3–4, including preparation forEdexcel Pearson IGCSEexaminations, and will help foster curiosity, problem-solving skills, and a love of technology in students. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Deliver engaging, high-quality Computer Science lessons across KS3 and KS4. Contribute to a departmental culture of purpose, pride, and academic excellence. Support the implementation of effective quality-assurance processes to ensure outstanding teaching and learning. Collaborate in the development of curriculum plans, departmental schemes of work, and teaching resources. Model exemplary classroom practice and support colleagues' professional development. Ensure compliance with all school policies, including safeguarding, behaviour, health and safety, and professional standards. Provide appropriate work in the event of staff absence and support whole-school duties as required. Ensure students achieve their academic targets in Computing and Computer Science. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE: Bachelor's degree and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Minimum of two years' teaching experience within the British National Curriculum (UK or international). Proven track record of strong classroom practice and positive student outcomes. Strong understanding of assessment for learning and data-informed planning. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective professional relationships. Desirable: experience teaching iGCSE Computer Science, subject leadership experience, or relevant leadership-focused professional development (e.g., NPQ).
