Role: Storage Test Environment Specialist (DevOps Engineer Storage) We are seeking a qualified DevOps Engineer Storage to manage the test platform of our storage infrastructure using our toolset to automate the whole storage platform. Responsibilities Management of the Storage Test Environment – Oversee configuration and maintenance for effective testing. Creation of Automated Checks – Develop systems to regularly check for new software versions and critical alerts. Execution of Defined Tests – Conduct comprehensive testing of firmware versions to provide approval for release. Response to Operational Needs – Collaborate with storage engineers to address operational requirements and continuously improve the test environment and rollout processes. Proactive problem‑solving – Optimize storage solutions through collaboration with engineering teams. Qualifications Technical Skills Project Management – Proficiency in Jira and Wiki for project tracking and documentation. IT Service Management – Familiarity with CASM, CheckMK, and Grafana. Database Management – Advanced knowledge of MySQL. API Integration – REST API principles and workflow automation. Vendor‑Specific – Storage solutions from NetApp, Pure Storage, Brocade, IBM. Soft Skills Automation Trends knowledge. CI/CD – Experience with GitLab. Storage Capacity Provisioning – Technical requirements for connecting and provisioning storage. IT Infrastructure Monitoring – Automated alerting systems expertise. UNIX Server Technologies – Operation, administration, troubleshooting. Presentation & Communication – Strong presentation abilities. Self‑Driven Work Ethic – Independent initiative. Resilience & Stress Management – High stress tolerance. Willingness to Travel – Open to traveling to Germany. Tools & Platforms Jira, Wiki CASM (Ticketing-Tool), CheckMK (Monitoring-Tool), Grafana Python, Perl, Go, Ansible, PHP, MySQL, Java, REST API Vendors: NetApp, Pure Storage, Brocade, IBM Benefits International, positive, dynamic, and motivated work environment.
