As a key member of the interprofessional team, the DCES offers collaborative, comprehensive, and person-centered care and education to promote behavior change and improve quality of life. The DCES advocates for individuals with diabetes to ensure optimal care and supports self-management to meet personalized goals and enhance health outcomes.Starting annual salary for this position is $98,582-$116,333 which is inclusive of a base hourly rate with geographic differential and includes a comprehensive benefit package. The actual offer may vary based on qualifications, skills, and experienceQualifications: Required Education and ExperienceLicense RequirementLicense to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York.Education and Experience1. Bachelor's degree in Nursing and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time oncology nursing experience or critical care experience; or2. Bachelor's degree in Nursing, the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time medical-surgical experience in an acute care setting and completion of Roswell Park Nursing orientation with the ability to function independently at a satisfactory level for three (3) months as a Nurse I at Roswell Park; or3. Bachelor's degree in Nursing and the equivalent of three (3) years of full-time medical-surgical experience in an acute care setting.NOTE:Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.Preferred Qualifications: Preferred candidates will possess a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) with one or more years of oncology experience, including GI-specific experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Ideal applicants will have prior experience serving as a Charge Nurse or team leader, along with at least two years of experience in the comprehensive management of individuals with diabetes.
