As a Senior R&D Mechanical Engineer, you will lead initiatives to enhance transformer performance and reliability through advanced mechanical simulations, innovative manufacturing processes, and robust design of external components in collaboration with other R&D teams.**How you will make an impact*** Lead and execute R&D projects focused on mechanical simulation, including nonlinear and transient analysis to assess short-circuit forces and structural integrity in transformer components.* Develop and validate welding and manufacturing processes for transformer tanks and external structures, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and performance standards.* Drive innovation in manufacturing techniques, including 3D printing and material characterization for transformer applications.* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate simulation results into design tools and technical standards.* Contribute to technology road mapping and strategy in mechanical domain.* Support factory troubleshooting and provide technical guidance on mechanical issues related to transformer externals.* Prepare technical documentation and reports to communicate findings and support knowledge
