OverviewThe District Sales Manager will have strong interpersonal and leadership skills, and will be proactive, customer-focused, and motivated to succeed in a fast-paced environment. The person will be self-motivated, enjoy working independently in the field, and consistently deliver great results. The candidate will work effectively across various customer levels, including distributors, dealers and contractors providing training, justify solutions, and successfully sell Rain Bird irrigation products. This person will be responsible for leading sales and marketing actions to develop and gain market share in a highly competitive market. ResponsibilitiesManage and develop business with the existing distribution network in the assigned territory. Increase Rain Bird's market share with distributors, dealers and contractors. Conduct product demonstrations and become a product technical expert. Promoting the use and purchase of Rain Bird products and services with a focus on brand conversion and customer loyalty. Establish and implement strategies and plans within the assigned territory. Make Rain Bird the most visible manufacturer to all dealers and contractors in the region. Participation in all relevant events for the purpose of networking and generating opportunities to sell Rain Bird products. QualificationsBachelor's Degree 5+ years' progressive sales and business experience Microsoft tools, presentations and database applications (CRM) experience and knowledge. Self-motivated, team player, aggressive, and strong communication skills. Native Spanish and fluent English and Catalan. Availability to travel up to 50% across the eastern regions of Spain. Experience working in the water/irrigation industry and/or professional equipment distribution. Must be based in the Barcelona area.
