We are looking for a laboratory Technician who will provide experimental and sample analysis support to the centre's researchers, focusing primarily on research and innovation projects in the Sustainable Agricultural and Food Systems Unit.Functions and DutiesPhysical-chemical characterisation of soil and plant biomass samples.Respirometry.Performing analyses related to studies on the increase in soil organic matter.Performing analyses related to tests for the agronomic evaluation of bio‑fertilisers.RequirementsAccording to Spanish Royal Decree 889/2022, official recognition of qualifications issued abroad may grant access to regulated professions in Spain. If you apply for a teaching and research staff (PDI) or 100% research staff (PI) post or a professional service staff post (PTGAS) without official recognition of the university degree required in the call, you should submit a declaration of equivalence together with a Spanish translation of your degree certificate. Non‑compliance will lead to termination of your employment contract.Title – Intermediate vocational training in fields related to the subject of the call for applications. Certification of Level C1 in Catalan or commitment to obtain it. Accreditation of Level B2 in English or commitment to obtain it.QualificationsPrevious experience working in other chemical analysis laboratories, preferably in the field of soil science and research.Knowledge of classical analytical techniques (gravimetry and volumetry).Other RequirementsUniversity degree in: Agricultural Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, Agronomy, Biotechnology, Plant Production, Environmental Sciences or similar.Experience in characterising samples and fertiliser products.Knowledge of Instrumental Analytical Chemistry, mainly: Ion Chromatography, Gas Chromatography, Atomic Absorption, Instrumental Combustion Techniques.CompetenciesAttitude – Planning and organisation.Team Management – Teamwork and cooperation.Personal Skills – Organisation, Flexibility and change management.Influencing – Empathy.Thought – Learning and use of knowledge.BenefitsInclusion in the professional group Management and administrative and service staff (PTGAS).
