Sphera and Blackstone are leaders in the Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) space.We are seeking a highly experienced Solutions Architect to lead the design and delivery of scalable, secure, and high-performing cloud SaaS solutions. In this role, you will shape the system architecture roadmap, guide key technical decisions, and mentor development teams while ensuring business requirements are met with innovative, efficient solutions. The ideal candidate brings 7+ years of web and cloud development experience, deep expertise in Azure, RESTful services, and multi-tenant SaaS architectures, along with strong leadership and communication skills. This is an exciting opportunity to influence strategy, drive technical excellence, and play a pivotal role in building enterprise-grade products.Responsibilities:Guide the system architecture roadmap and the key technical decisions for a portfolio of solutions.Coordinate and lead agile development teams to design, estimate, develop, test and deliver commercial software products.Communicate clearly the mission, architecture, deadlines, and expectations.Perform an expert role in the development, configuration, support, and enhancement of Web SaaS Multi-tenant solutionsEnsure system scalability and performance integrity by utilizing proper architectural designsTake an active role in project planning (estimations, timelines, and milestones) and progress tracking. Adjust plans and priorities as necessary.Work closely with stakeholders to ensure all business requirements, interdependencies and impediments are understoodWrite clean code to develop functional web applications and server-side applicationsDevelop and design generic, secure & scalable RESTful services and APIsMentor and coach more junior members of the team when appropriatePerform other duties and responsibilities, as necessary.Required Education:University degree in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent experience.Required Experience:7+ years of Web and Cloud development using various technologies, frameworks, and toolsDemonstrated experience in architecting and implementing Cloud SaaS multi-tenant systemsKnowledge of Azure Cloud technologies, environment, and services (Application Gateway, Queues, Azure Function, B2C)Expert knowledge of best practices in back-end architecture, including performance, security and scalabilityGood experience with C#, JSON, REST APIs, JavaScript/TypeScriptDemonstrated experience in leading development teamsWorking knowledge of Agile Scrum development methodologiesWorking knowledge of Azure Dev Ops.Domain knowledge in life-cycle assessment is an assetKnowledge or experience in Delphi is an assetSkills:Strong facilitation and coaching skillsAbilities to think creatively to find alternate solutions or creative ways to solve problems.Work effectively independently and in a dynamic team environment.Proven time management, organizational and follow-up skills to meet deadlinesQuality-oriented with a passion for customer satisfactionExcellent interpersonal skillsMust be willing to learn new technologies and processes as needed.Strong work ethic and professionalismGood communication skills in English.
