AI Platform Engineer with Python and Terraform

Overview We are looking for an AI Platform Engineer with expertise in Python and Terraform to join our new Enterprise AI platform team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a high-impact, highly technical group focused on solving some of the most challenging machine learning problems in the Life Sciences & Healthcare industry. You will bring proven experience in AWS cloud environments and a strong track record of designing and deploying large-scale production infrastructure and platforms. Responsibilities Design and implement scalable infrastructure for AI and machine learning solutions; deploy, monitor and manage ML solutions in production, optimized for performance and scalability. Collaborate with data science teams to develop cutting-edge data science, AI/ML environments and workflows on AWS. Work with R&D data scientists to productionize ML pipelines, models and algorithms for innovative science. Own all aspects of software engineering from design to implementation, QA and maintenance. Lead technology processes from concept development to completion of project deliverables. Liaise with other teams to enhance our tech stack and enable adoption of the latest Data Processing and AI advances. Qualifications Strong software coding skills with proficiency in Python; exceptional ability in any language will be recognized. Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code using Terraform. Significant experience with AWS cloud environments; knowledge of SageMaker, Athena, S3, EC2, RDS, Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, EKS and ECS. Modern DevOps mindset and tools (Docker, Git). Experience managing an enterprise platform and handling client demand and feature requests. Experience with containers and microservices (Kubernetes, Docker) and serverless approaches. Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, CodeBuild). GxP experience; excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills. Nice to have Experience building large-scale data processing pipelines (Hadoop/Spark, SQL). Data science tooling (R, Python, Jupyter notebooks). Multi-cloud experience (AWS/Azure/GCP). Experience building MLOps environments to production standards. Mentoring, coaching and supporting less experienced colleagues and clients. Experience with SAFe agile practices.
