The CRG is composed by an interdisciplinary, motivated and creative scientific team which is supported both by a flexible and efficient administration and by high-end and innovative technologies.We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to investigate genome regulation during early development in cnidarians. The successful candidate will combine targeted perturbation experiments with high‑throughput single‑cell molecular profiling to validate cell‑lineage gene regulatory networks. We welcome enthusiastic applicants with a broad interest in evolutionary biology, gene regulation, and/or chromatin biology, and with a solid background in developmental biology and functional genomics.The work will be part of our ERC‑funded project CELL‑SYSTEMATICS, which aims at understanding how animal cell type diversity originated and evolve. The candidate will be part of a highly interdisciplinary team that includes developmental, computational, evolutionary and molecular biologists.The Sebé‑Pedrós lab studies the evolution of cell type programs and genome regulation, combining single‑cell genomics, chromatin profiling, and comparative genomics methods in a phylogenetically diverse array of eukaryotes.
