After years in the Internet of Things industry, we realized a need for a cloud service that puts users, privacy, and data first. Our cloud service, Home Assistant Cloud, is built as an extension to our platform. We are a profitable company, funded directly by users who subscribe to Home Assistant Cloud and purchase Home Assistant hardware.The RoleWe are looking for an experienced and visionary Senior Product Manager based in Europe to lead the strategy for our Cloud and Hardware products. This is Nabu Casa's first dedicated Product Manager role. You will be building the product function from scratch, defining how product management looks here and establishing processes, frameworks, and operating models for an async distributed team.A Unique OpportunityYou will have significant autonomy in how you approach product strategy, processes, and decision making. You will:Prioritize across competing demands from engineers, community, and leadershipBuild the metrics and feedback loops that inform our product roadmapCreate the operating model for how product decisions get made in an async, distributed teamEvangelize PM practices and build confidence in data‑driven decision makingWhat You Will DoIdentify and execute a product strategy for Cloud and Hardware products, from ideation to delivery, with engineers, program managers, and leadership.Lead the day‑to‑day product development operation, collaborating with Cloud and Hardware teams and other senior members.Collaborate with the Open Home Foundation to ensure alignment and integration.Work with the Program Manager to shape the product roadmap and break down programs into meaningful deadlines.Engage our worldwide community in shaping products from discovery to delivery.What You Need To Have5‑10+ years of experience as a senior product manager, shaping strategy and delivering value to users.Experience building or scaling product functions—early PM at a growing company or leading significant organizational change.Experience delivering B2C SaaS products.Proficiency in working with multi‑disciplinary teams and iterative development.Strong communication skills and adaptability to different audiences.Comfort with public speaking, workshops, and livestreams.Professional fluency in English.European residency, currently based and eligible to work within Europe.It Would Be Great If You Also HaveA passion for smart homes and automation.Experience as a Home Assistant user.Curiosity and passion for learning.Benefits & CompensationNabu Casa is a fully remote organization. The role is full‑time (40 hours/week) with a flexible schedule, ensuring at least 3 hours of overlap.
