About the position (role & team): We are looking for an experienced and adaptable Senior Product Designer to join our team for a 6 month maternity cover with possibility to extend . You will be stepping into a key role, collaborating closely with our product and engineering teams to deliver impactful design solutions. While this is a temporary position, you will have the opportunity to make a significant contribution to our product and user experience. Responsibilities Lead end-to-end design projects: Take ownership of design initiatives from concept to delivery, ensuring high-quality user experiences. Collaborate cross-functionally: Work closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to define requirements and translate them into intuitive designs. Conduct user research and testing: Gather insights to inform design decisions and validate solutions. Create prototypes and wireframes: Develop interactive prototypes to communicate design concepts and test usability. Maintain design systems: Contribute to and evolve our design system to ensure consistency and scalability. As a core team member, you will: User-Centric Design: Deeply understand and address the needs and pain points of Optibus users Create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to communicate design ideas Collaborate with other team members to ensure that designs are feasible and meet the needs of all stakeholders Continuous Improvement: Iteratively improve designs based on user feedback and testing results Tackle design challenges with creativity and a solutions-oriented mindset Requirements: 3+ years of experience designing a complex system/platform. Strong portfolio: A comprehensive portfolio showcasing your design process, problem-solving skills, and the impact of your work. (Must include link to portfolio ) Excellent communication and collaboration skills: Ability to articulate design decisions and work effectively in a team environment. Experience leveraging AI tools to enhance design workflows, accelerate prototyping, or explore creative solutions (Bonus) Spanish language skills (Bonus): While not mandatory, proficiency in Spanish is a plus as you will be working closely with our team in Spain. Availability for 6 months: Commitment to the full duration of the maternity cover. This role requires being based in San Sebastian or its surrounding area, as we operate in a hybrid work model with three days per week in the office.
