The System Safety Engineer will be part of the Digital Engineering (DE) Innovation Hub , a global initiative supporting Boeing’s transition to Digital Engineering. The selected candidate will focus on the development, deployment, and execution of system safety analysis, product security analysis, and solutions using advanced model‑based approaches.Position ResponsibilitiesProviding safety analysis and product security expertise to program stakeholders and leadership.Utilize Model Based Engineering/Digital Engineering tools to analyze architectures/designs and develop safety deliverables.Conduct research in the area of systems engineering, systems safety and product security, with emphasis in Model Based Safety Analysis (MBSA), Product Security Engineering and Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) processes, methods, training and tools.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in Systems Safety, Product Security and/or Systems Engineering.Experience with ARP4761A, DO-326/DO-356, ARP4754B, MIL-STD-882E or similar.Fluent in both verbal and written English.Able to travel domestically and internationally.Legally able to work in Europe.Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)1+ years of experience performing system safety analysis, including Hazard Analyses, FMEAs, Airplane Level Threats, Fault Trees and/or System Safety Assessments (SSAs).1+ years of experience with commercial airplane certification, safety requirements and procedures.Experience with FAR Part , ARP4761, ARP4754, DO-326/DO-356.1+ years of experience in Commercial Airplane‑Systems design or analysis (e.g., Flight Controls, Hydraulics, Avionics, Fuels) or Systems Integration.Knowledge of Model Based Safety Analysis (MBSA), Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and related toolsets such as MATLAB/Simulink, SCADE, Cameo, Rhapsody, CAFTA, PTC Windchill, 3DX.Excellent collaboration skills and experience with Agile methodologies.Pilot’s license is a plus.RelocationThis position does not offer relocation.
