Job Title : Senior Data Lead EngineerLocation : Malaga, Spain - Hybrid : 1 Day to Office Every WeekDuration : PermanentEmployment Type : Contract B2 BRoles & Responsibilities.We are seeking a Senior Data Lead Engineer to drive the evolution of Data, AI, and BI platforms for Global Transaction Banking (GTB). You will own the data roadmap, design scalable cloud architectures, and lead high-impact data and AI initiatives in a complex, regulated environment.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the Data, AI & BI roadmap ensuring scalability, security, resilience, and cost efficiencyDesign and evolve a cloud-based data lakehouse architecture (AWS)Build domain-oriented data products aligned with data mesh principlesDevelop and maintain ETL, CDC-based, and event-driven ingestion pipelinesIntegrate cloud and on-prem data lakes with strong governance, lineage, and securityDeliver high-quality datasets and semantic layers for BI, KPIs, and reportingEnable AI / ML and LLM use cases (feature engineering, RAG, fine-tuning, monitoring)Act as a technical leader and mentor for data, ML, and BI engineersCollaborate with business and technology stakeholders to deliver measurable valueRequired Experience5+ years in Data Engineering / Data Platforms / AI EngineeringProven experience with AWS-based data platforms and lakehouse architecturesHands-on with Databricks or EMR (Spark)Strong background in data ingestion, ETL, CDC, and event-driven architecturesExperience enabling production AI / ML solutionsStrong exposure to data governance, data quality, and BI data modellingKey SkillsAWS : S3, Lake Formation, Glue, EMRDatabricks : Spark (Py Spark / Scala), Delta / Iceberg, MLflowSQL & PythonData mesh, data-as-a-product, SLAs & contractsData governance, lineage, observability & guardrailsAI / ML & LLMs (RAG, fine-tuning, Bedrock)BI & semantic modelling (KPIs, star schemas)Nice to HaveAWS or Databricks certificationsCI / CD, orchestration & Infrastructure as CodeExperience with Quick Sight, Power BI, QlikAgile delivery (JIRA, Confluence)#J-18808-Ljbffr
