Responsibilities Own market growth, client relationships and team development—partnering closely with Europe leadership and the global network to deliver a profitable, high‑performing business. Lead the launch of B&W’s new Madrid office—set strategy, shape culture and put your stamp on Spain’s data centre design market. Take end‑to‑end accountability (P&L, resourcing, bids, QA/QC), with direct visibility to the Area Director – Europe and a mandate to grow. Recruit, mentor and develop a local engineering team (MEP, project delivery, support functions) aligned to B&W’s global standards. Deliver complex data centre programmes with the one‑global team—multi‑timezone collaboration, BIM‑led coordination, and best practice QA. Represent B&W in Spain’s industry forums, lead proposal teams and broaden your remit as the office scales. Access the expertise and backing of a multi award‑winning, 1,000+‑strong consultancy while building deep relationships across Spain’s client and partner ecosystem. Flexibility & mobility: Hybrid working, travel across Europe when needed, and opportunities to contribute to cross‑regional initiatives. Qualifications Degree (BSc/BEng) in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience. Significant building services design experience—ideally including data centres—with strong technical leadership and project delivery credentials. Chartered Engineer (or working towards) and membership of IET/CIBSE or equivalent (preferred). Proven ability to lead multi‑disciplinary teams, manage virtual design delivery, and build trusted client relationships. Commercial acumen across P&L, contracts and fee management, plus sound knowledge of health & safety and applicable local/IEC/BS codes and standards.
