Applications are invited by the University of Alicante President for an open-ended contractual position as an assistant technologist to collaborate with the funded research line “Emotionally aware education based on artificial intelligence”.

Project: CIPROM/2021/017 funded by the Valencia Region Government’s Department of Education, Culture, Universities and Employment.

1. Number of vacancies: one.

2. Job position: assistant technologist.

3. Funded line of research: “Emotionally aware education based on artificial intelligence”.

4. Working hours: part-time position, 30 hours/week in morning/afternoon sessions.

5. Remuneration: €1,008.93 gross/monthly plus two extra payments of the same amount as the monthly remuneration.

First project: “MEEBAI: A Methodology for Emotion-Aware Education Based on Artificial Intelligence”.

Tasks to be carried out:

• Development of a gamification system in educational environments for robotics learning.
• Programming with Robot Operating System software.

1. Official academic qualifications: technical degree in Microcomputer Systems and Networks, advanced technical degree in Web Applications Development, specialisation course in Video Game and Virtual Reality Development, undergraduate degree in Multimedia Engineering or equivalent.

2. Experience: assessed at the rate of 1 point per full year related to the tasks described.

3. Additional education: qualifications related to the tasks described will be considered.

Applicants must:

1. Hold a technical diploma or equivalent.
2. Have Spanish nationality or be in one of the situations listed in article 57 of Royal Legislative Decree 5/2015.
3. Have a good command of any of the official languages of the Valencia Region.
4. Be at least 16 years of age and not over the maximum age for compulsory retirement.
5. Possess the physical and mental capacities necessary for the performance of the relevant duties.
6. Not be disqualified by final judgement or as a result of having been dismissed for disciplinary reasons.
