ADMINISTRADOR/A WAS

Title: ADMINISTRADOR/A WAS (REMOTO / ENGLISH) We are looking for a senior WebSphere Application Server (WAS) Administrator with at least 10 years of experience in mainframe z/OS environments. This is a remote role based in Spain with high‑level English proficiency. Qualifications Minimum 10 years of experience administering WebSphere Application Server (WAS) on z/OS mainframes. Experience with mainframe communications and associated systems. Knowledge of SNA and TCP/IP protocols. Experience configuring VTAM/NCP and using monitoring tools. Ability to diagnose and resolve complex messaging, transaction, and WAS infrastructure incidents. Knowledge of security practices, high availability, and disaster recovery. High proficiency in English, both oral and written. Responsibilities Administer and maintain IBM WAS environments on z/OS, ensuring availability, performance, and security. Oversee configuration, monitoring, and resolution of incidents in mainframe communication systems. Coordinate preventive maintenance, corrective actions, and software updates. Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams for proper service integration. Document procedures, configurations, and changes in WAS/CICS/MQ environments. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, migrations, and platform modernization. What we offer Remote work. Location: Spain.
