Together, these capabilities allow us to develop cutting edge products to transform the capabilities of clients inspection systems. Role Description We are looking for a new associate to join us as the lead Applications Engineer. This is a hands-on technical role working at the forefront of X-ray technologies which requires a deep knowledge of the company products and capabilities. The successful candidate will have both expert knowledge of X-ray inspection applications and the technical communication skills to support customers in their integration projects. The role is based on site at the company headquarters and requires some travel to client facilities. Responsibilities Run the trials and testing program of new detector and data processing systems Collaborate with technology and product teams to test the performance of new detector and deep learning systems Promote new applications for photon counting inspection and develop methods for system optimisation using both conventional calibration tools and advanced deep learning Provide product demonstrations, customer training and technical sales support Prepare technical documentation including imaging studies, client application guidelines, specifications, procedures and user manuals. Manage the certifications process for new products Skills - Essential BS / BSc. / B.Eng or Masters degree in science, industrial or engineering discipline 3 years experience in Application Engineering in an industrial field Rigorous and systematic approach to testing and statistically valid reporting Demonstrable systems thinking, able to understand how products work and the interdependence between the operating components of a system Knowledge of health and safety and compliance requirements for X-ray systems Skills - Beneficial Familiarity with Quality Management Systems and certifications Knowledge of material decomposition methods using multi-spectral X-ray X-ray image processing and Image reconstruction from multiple projections (tomography) Data analysis through Python or similar Start Date: from January 2026 Location: Cerdanyola del Valles (Barcelona) / On-Site Role Type: Full Time Languages: English (required), Spanish Radiography #X-ray #Applications Engineering #CT #Tomography #Physics #TechnicalSupport #PhotonCounting #MaterialDecomposition #IndustrialInspection
