Director, Data and AI ArchitectureBarcelonaAs Director, Data and AI Architecture, you are leading our enterprise data management, engineering, modelling and AI capabilities. Your role is to be a leader within the broader global data, analytics and AI team to drive the design and implementation of our modern data and insights platform. You will oversee data engineering and data management teams, ensuring robust, scalable, and innovative solutions that support business strategy and deliver value across the organization.You will be accountable for the end‑to‑end design and delivery of data architecture from data ingestion through data and semantic modelling, and for data management including metadata management, data quality, and governance.ResponsibilitiesDefine and own the architecture for data, analytics, and AI, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technology strategy in partnership with the broader enterprise architecture team.Oversee and guide data engineering and data management teams, providing technical leadership and mentorship.Lead the design and implementation of scalable data pipelines, data models, and storage solutions, integrating diverse data sources into a unified ecosystem with data quality controls, monitoring and incident workflows.Establish and enforce standards, best practices, and governance for data engineering, data management, and AI development.Oversee metadata management, data lineage, and certification processes to ensure data reliability and traceability.Promote metadata‑driven approaches for agile and automated governance (data dictionaries, glossaries, catalogs, lineage tools).Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and technology leaders to translate business requirements into architectural solutions with semantic models to bridge business language and technical structures.Ensure semantic models support self‑service analytics, AI, and decision intelligence.Drive continuous improvement and innovation in data ingestion, modelling, and AI capabilities, leveraging emerging technologies and tools.Ensure data quality, integrity, privacy, and security across all platforms and processes.Organise regular progress meetings with stakeholders to review architecture, project status, and compliance with guidelines.Document architectural decisions, data flows, and technical standards for knowledge sharing and onboarding.Support crisis management and incident resolution, providing strategic guidance and technical expertise.Foster a culture of belonging, growth, and learning within the team, championing Bacardi’s values.Responsible for budget submission/tracking of projects and associated run‑budget components.Work closely with other team members and Support/Operations on enhancement and maintenance requests.Inform the global data and analytics portfolio team about all requests/initiatives/ongoing work.Support the Global VP in defining and designing the Global Data, Analytics and AI strategy.Participate in the evaluation of data, analytics and AI emerging technology and tools.Work with vendors as needed to support ongoing projects and operations.Maximise the value of key partnerships and ensure partners deliver services that meet business requirements and agreed SLAs.Align service‑requirement measures and scorecards with partners.QualificationsDeep expertise in Microsoft Azure and other cloud platforms for data, analytics, and AI.Proven experience in data, analytics and AI architecture, solution design, and implementation.Strong knowledge of data engineering, data management, and AI/ML frameworks.Ability to communicate effectively with senior management, technical teams, and end‑users.Experience in leading and mentoring cross‑functional teams.Ability to manage, mentor and coach a team, both directly and through influence.Business acumen and understanding of business processes.Knowledge of IT governance, operations, privacy, and security controls.Experience in project management, team management, and vendor management.Exposure to diverse market dynamics and cultures.Ability to work remotely and manage distributed teams.Highly collaborative with strong change agility.Experience in crisis management and ability to manage within a matrix environment.BenefitsCompetitive Pay PackageCompetitive Holiday/Paid Time Off, plus additional days (volunteer day)Retirement/Pension PlanMedical, Critical Illness, and Life InsuranceEmployee Assistance ProgramsBest‑in‑class, family‑friendly, inclusive leave policiesAdditional BenefitsFlexible work arrangements (depending on role/office/location)Access to e‑learning platforms and career development programsTravel discounts (hotel and car rental)And much more#J-18808-Ljbffr
