You’ll define architecture, infrastructure standards, and best practices while mentoring senior engineers and guiding technical decisions across GCP, microservices, and CI/CD pipelines. This role offers the opportunity to influence backend strategy at scale, drive system reliability, and grow as a technical leader in a culture that values ownership, innovation, and engineering excellence. ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop scalable microservices using Golang for transactional systems and/or Kotlin for Backend-for-Frontends (BFF)Take ownership of infrastructure provisioning using Terraform (Infrastructure as Code)Migrate data and logic from a legacy PHP monolith to Cloud SQL/SpannerCollaborate with mobile engineers to define API schemas and requirementsEnsure high performance and reliability of services deployed to Cloud Run/GKEWrite clean, maintainable, and testable codeQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field5+ years of backend software development experienceStrong proficiency in Go (Golang) and/or Kotlin (server-side)Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) (Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, BigQuery)Experience with Terraform or similar IaC toolsSolid understanding of Microservices architecture and distributed systemsExperience with relational (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databasesUpper-intermediate English levelNice to HaveAbility to read and understand PHPExperience with gRPC and Protocol BuffersExperience with Event-Driven ArchitecturePerks and BenefitsProfessional growth: Mentorship, TechTalks, and personalized growth roadmaps.
