Head of AI, Practice Leader Location: Remote from Spain (an indefinite Spanish employment contract) This is a unique opportunity for a visionary leader and AI ambassador who will shape Intellias’ global AI & ML practice and can blend deep technical expertise with a keen business acumen to drive growth, innovation, and market leadership. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker and a hands-on leader who can build and inspire a world-class team, cultivate strong client relationships, and position our company at the forefront of the AI/ML industry. Requirements: Key qualifications: At least 10 years of experience in AI, ML and software engineering At least 5 years of experience in management and innovation consulting, with proven experience working with C-level executives MSc or PhD Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or another engineering area; additional business or financial education would be an advantage Deep expertise in AI, ML, Gen AI, MLOps, Agentic AI, and related areas Understanding of connected modern technology trends: Data, Cloud & DevOps, IoT, etc. Profound understanding of a large IT outsourcing company’s business: governance, processes, org. structure, financial management, etc. Lean mindset, combining technology and entrepreneurial skills with core management skills; leadership presence Advanced level of written and spoken English Responsibilities: Business development & sales: Act as a trusted advisor to C-level executives, understanding their business challenges and proposing strategic AI/ML solutions. Identify and pursue new business opportunities, establish a robust sales pipeline, and close deals for AI/ML consulting projects Design and pitch comprehensive AI/ML proposals, including project scope, methodology, timeline, and resource allocation. Technical leadership: Define the technical direction and roadmap for the AI/ML practice, staying ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies. Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of AI/ML engineers, data scientists, and solution architects. Marketing & thought leadership: Develop and execute a marketing strategy to elevate our brand as a leader in AI/ML consulting. Author white papers, case studies, and blog posts to showcase our expertise and thought leadership. Represent the company at industry conferences, webinars, and events to expand our network and influence. Forge strategic alliances with technology partners and academic institutions to enhance our service offerings.
