We are one of the fastest-growing podcast and audiobook platforms in Europe and we are now looking for a passionate and creative Commissioning Editor to join our growing team in Madrid. Come and join us on our journey to enrich lives through listening.This is the role Our new Commissioning Editor in Spain will be responsible for producing the most engaging and relevant podcasts and video podcasts for the Spanish Podimo app. Leveraging your expertise in audio storytelling and visual formats and strong understanding of producing high-quality content within a commercial and strategic framework, you will help ensure our users have access to a diverse mix of original productions spanning multiple genres and appealing to a broad audience. Your main responsibilities in this role: You will manage a wide range of audio and video shows from ideation through launch, while also overseeing a large volume of exclusives in production simultaneously, providing meaningful and calculated editorial and commercial feedback to the producers and talent in those shows You will oversee administrative tasks, including maintaining an overview of production processes, budgets, and contracts. You will drive creative development by producing new concepts and providing editorial sparring on inbound ideas and productions. You will think content from all angles, including the activation of content on social media and other platforms You will inspire and guide content creators and producers, helping them to create the best possible content This is you The ideal candidate will have strong relationships within Spain's creative industries (audio, publishing, media, edutainment and other), and a proven track record of evaluating and managing a substantial volume of high-level show pitches from both a content and commercial point of view. You are a profile who thrives in a dynamic, creative work environment and who would love to be part of a start-up that is rapidly expanding all over Europe ... and soon beyond Experience we're looking for: You are passionate and knowledgeable about podcasts, audio and video content, media and entertainment You have 7+ years of experience within the audiovisual industry — ideally with a strong background in podcast production and storytelling across all stages of development. You have great skills in managing and collaborating with talents and creators, fostering strong relationships and ensuring the best creative outcomes. You have a deep commercial understanding and you are used to integrating data into your work processes and decisions You have experience in project coordination and pay attention to the details You have a great understanding of the podcast medium and market - in particular, the local Spanish podcast market You love communicating with many people every day in person, on the phone, and in writing A team player with a positive spirit and a proactive approach You are fluent in Spanish and English both written and spoken You are willing to travel to some of our other markets around Europe What We Offer Parental Leave: Up to six months of fully paid parental leave for all new parents.
