About the School – The British School of Barcelona (Castelldefels)The British School of Barcelona (BSB) is a great school in a wonderful location. We are an HMC school and were judged by a recent BSO (British Schools Overseas) Inspection to be outstanding in every area, including quality of education, safeguarding, pupil welfare and academic outcomes.Over 2000 pupils from more than 74 nationalities attend the school and over 315 staff work at BSB. It’s an individual approach that empowers every school, teacher and student to focus on what they do best and thrive.About the RoleWe are looking for a full‑time, permanent PE teacher to start in September 2026 at our Castelldefels campus.PE is taught both as a core subject and as academic PE at GCSE level and as part of our post‑16 offer. As a teacher at BSB you will be expected to follow the guidelines set out in the Cognita Teaching Toolkit – clear expectations for planning, assessment, lesson delivery and wider professional duties. You will also contribute to delivering the whole‑school strategic priorities and perform any duties reasonably required by the Headteacher and Principal.A commitment to the wider life of the school and our enrichment programme is an expectation of the job, and as a member of the PE staff team you would be expected to play a leading role in the extracurricular sporting provision offered at BSB.Ideally, we are looking for someone with a track record of A level/IBDP/BTEC and GCSE PE exam success.
