In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for ensuring our 3PL partners consistently meet our high standards across key areas such as operational performance, cost management, continuous improvement, change management, network integration, escalation processes, and provider relationship management. The position requires up to 40% travel to local 3PL sites and Amazon facilities.We encourage you to apply for this strategic opportunity to shape the future of Amazon's operations.Key Job ResponsibilitiesPerformance ManagementEstablish and lead a structured, systematic approach to site‑level performance management, including the use of short‑term improvement plans, deviation management, and providing high‑quality performance comments and feedback.Proactively identify performance deviations, develop and execute corrective action plans in collaboration with 3PL providers, and leverage data‑driven insights to optimize operations.Serve as a benchmark for peers, setting the standard for performance management excellence.Cost ManagementDemonstrate a deep understanding of 3PL business cases and the ability to detect hidden cost levers.Drive impactful cost‑saving opportunities and efficiency‑boosting initiatives, including the piloting of new productivity and cost‑controlling projects.Actively engage with stakeholders to refine business cases and influence cost‑improvement activities.Continuous ImprovementUtilize Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies to proactively detect potential issues before they impact KPIs.Drive operational excellence and structured follow‑up with peers and linked businesses, setting higher benchmarks for the network.Demonstrate the ability to influence and align with internal and external stakeholders on improvement plans.Change ManagementEffectively implement top‑down changes from Amazon leadership as well as bottom‑up initiatives to align 3PL operations with Amazon standards.Exhibit the capability to develop positive and effective initiatives, acting as a primary proposer and setting higher benchmarks for the rest of the network.Network IntegrationEstablish continuous and successful bi‑directional exchange of support with internal senior network management, acting as a development motor.Demonstrate the ability to effectively coordinate and align the 3PL site with the broader Amazon fulfillment network and supporting functions.EscalationProactively identify and elevate critical issues, utilizing effective communication and partnering with senior stakeholders to drive timely resolution.Autonomously author comprehensive escalation reports and successfully participate in senior leadership calls.3P Key Accounting & Vendor Relationship ManagementBuild strong, profitable, and sustainable relationships with 3PL provider leadership, Amazon's internal leadership, and the broader provider network.Become a trusted and reliable interlocutor, seen as a key point of contact and a benchmark for peers.Basic Qualifications4‑7 years of experience in logistics, operations, or supply chain management, with a proven track record of progression.Bachelor's or advanced degree in STEM, Business Sciences, or SC/Logistics related.Willingness to travel up to 40% of the time to local 3PL sites and Amazon facilities.Preferred QualificationsDemonstrated expertise in driving operational excellence and continuous process improvements.Exceptional analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.Outstanding communication, stakeholder management, and relationship‑building abilities.Proficiency in data analysis and interpreting complex performance metrics.Deep knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.Proven experience in negotiation, contract management, and influencing provider behavior.Ability to develop positive and effective initiatives, acting as a primary proposer.Demonstrated competence in establishing continuous and successful bi‑directional exchange of support with internal senior network management.Advanced degree in a relevant field/MBA.Amazon is an equal opportunities employer.
