MISSION OF THE ROLE The Group IT Program Director reports directly to the Group CIO and plays a key strategic leadership role within the organization. This position is responsible for guiding, coordinating, and ensuring the successful delivery of multiple interdependent IT projects within a cohesive program structure, fully aligned with the Group’s strategic objectives and business priorities, namely profitability and sustainable growth. The role ensures that all programs are delivered on time, within budget, and within scope, while maximizing business value and measurable P&L impact across all Group entities. Acting as a central point of convergence between business strategy and technical execution, the Group IT Program Director drives alignment, fosters cross‑functional collaboration, and supports the delivery of high‑impact enterprise‑wide initiatives. RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Program Strategy and Governance Define and articulate the program vision and scope in collaboration with Executive Management and Business Sponsors. Establish the program structure, identifying constituent projects, their critical interdependencies, and the optimal execution sequence. Set up and chair the Program Steering Committee (SteerCo), ensuring transparent communication and effective decision‑making. Ensure constant alignment of the program with the corporate strategy and target architectures (Business and IT). 2. Execution and Resource Management Oversee the execution of projects within the program, ensuring that each Global Program is sponsored by a regional CIO to get adequate “Buy in” and that Project Managers adhere to methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid) and Group standards. Manage the overall program budget (CAPEX and OPEX), including fund allocation across different projects and expenditure optimization with EBITDA impact. Identify and allocate necessary human and material resources, ensuring a balanced workload and the availability of key skills. Establish and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and value metrics to assess progress and the achievement of expected benefits. 3. Risk, Dependency, and Change Management Identify, analyze, and manage risks and issues at the program level, escalating major concerns to the Steering Committee. Actively manage complex interdependencies between the various projects within the program, as well as with other Group programs or initiatives. Define and implement the Change Management strategy, ensuring user adoption of new solutions across different entities. Manage scope change requests at the program level, assessing their impact on budget, schedule, and benefits. 4. Communication and Leadership Serve as the primary point of contact for Executive Sponsors, Business Directors, and the Regional CIOs and country’s CIO within the IT Department regarding the program’s status and performance. Lead and coach the team of Project Managers under their responsibility, fostering collaboration and the achievement of common goals. Maintain clear, consistent, and tailored communication for the audience (progress reports for the team, synthetic dashboards for management). REQUIREMENTS Master’s degree (or equivalent, e.g., MBA, Engineering School) with a specialization in Information Systems Management or Project Management. Minimum 10 to 12 years of IT experience, including at least 5 years in managing complex programs and/or project portfolios on a Group or international scale. Proven expertise in managing complex multi‑project programs, ideally involving system integration (ERP, CRM) or digital transformation. Mastery of program and project management methodologies (traditional and Agile/SAFe). Solid understanding of business processes (finance, operations, supply chain, etc.) and enterprise architecture. Proficiency with planning and portfolio management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Clarity).
