About Evansville State Hospital:  Evansville State Hospital is one of the Indiana State Psychiatric Hospitals who are committed to the mission of Hope and Recovery. Residing on 88 acres on the east side of Evansville, Ind., our facility provides medical treatment for chronic mental illness and substance abuse disorders from our dedicated team of psychiatrists and advanced practice professionals. Active Treatment helps our patients achieve their goals directed towards living in the most non-restrictive environment possible. Our team of professionals assist our patients in the treatment process involving medical staff, nursing, psychology, social work, rehabilitation therapy and our community integration program. Evansville State Hospital continues to maintain accreditation through The Joint Commission as an Inpatient Psychiatric Hospital as well as Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services certification as a Psychiatric Medicare/Medicaid Hospital. Salary Statement:  The salary for this position traditionally starts at $26,312.00 but may be commensurate with education or work experience. A Day in the Life: The essential functions of this role are as follows:  Cleans restrooms, sinks, and mirrors. Mops and waxes floors. Dust and polish furniture. Washes windows, blinds, and walls. Distributes paper towels, bathroom tissue, cups, cleansing agents, etc. Requisitions distribute and store supplies. Reports needed repairs of equipment and facility. Workday attendance at assigned worksite(s) is an essential function of this position. Other duties, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time.   What You'll Need for Success: You must meet the following requirement to be considered for employment: Working knowledge of the proper care of, and ability to use, cleaning equipment such as mops, brooms, vacuum cleaners, power scrubbers, polishers, and buffers. Working knowledge of the variety and uses of cleaning and sanitizing agents. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Assists in training new employees and completing necessary reports and order forms. Effectively communicate, both orally and in writing. Able to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
