Our clients include the most successful hedge funds, banks, and asset managers in the world We are seeking a skilled Backend Engineer proficient in Java and preferably experienced with Python to join our dynamic team. As a Backend Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust backend systems to support our most innovative cloud-based products. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure scalability, reliability, and performance of our systems. Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services, microservices, data pipelines and APIs using Java and Python. Implement CI / CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes. Utilize cloud technologies like AWS to deploy and manage backend services. Architect and implement serverless architectures for efficient resource utilization and scalability. Ensure code quality, performance, and security through code reviews, testing, and best practices. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience as a Backend Engineer with expertise in Java and frameworks like SpringBoot, Quarkus or similar. Familiarity with Python and willingness to work with it. Jenkins, GitLab CI, Travis CI). Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes). Experience with cloud platforms and services (AWS, Azure, GCP). Knowledge of serverless architectures and experience with related technologies (AWS Lambda, Azure Functions, Google Cloud Functions). Hands‑on experience with relational and no‑SQL databases. Solid understanding of software development best practices, design patterns, and clean code principles. Experience with big data frameworks like Apache Spark, Flink or Kafka. Experience working in Agile / Scrum development environments. Experience with reactive programming and frameworks like Project Reactor. Experience with document‑oriented & search databases like Elasticsearch, Vespa, Solr, or equivalent. Experience with software testing methodologies. What's In It For You?
