Travel Consultant role at Abercrombie & Kent Spain and Portugal , Madrid, SpainJoin our Luxury Destination Management Company in Madrid as a Travel Consultant Sales and Operations. Responsible for the successful sale/operation of business for FIT tours and Groups. Success will be measured on achieving and exceeding set budgets and targets.OverviewResponsible for the successful sale/operation of business for FIT tours and Groups. Success will be measured on achieving and exceeding set budgets and targets.ResponsibilitiesSell/operate tailor‑made FIT/Groups programmes.Meet or exceed set budgets and targets.Negotiate better hotel rates when needed.Accurately cost each programme competitively within agreed timeframe while maintaining creativity.Follow up on all new business quoted until a definitive result is obtained.Ensure the file is accurate and maintain professional relationships with suppliers, tour directors, colleagues, and clients.Investigate new products/marketing opportunities to achieve greater sales to existing and new clients.QualificationsExcellent (preferably native) command of Spanish.Excellent command of English, spoken and written.Knowledge of Portuguese is beneficial.Experience in the travel industry, ideally in luxury sector.Experience handling groups or incentives and FITs will be an advantage.Numerate, accurate/detailed and dedicated.Results and sales driven.Hardworking and independent.Excellent knowledge of Spain & Portugal.Excellent team player.BenefitsCompetitive salary plus commission or annual bonus plan.25 days annual leave – plus
