We are hiring a Staff Android Engineer to join our Quick-Commerce team focused on our non-integrated and long-tail partners, powering Delivery Hero - based in Glovo, Barcelona. You will work on our next-generation platform to not only provide groceries for our hungry customers but also other daily urgent needs like drinks, fruits, snacks but also batteries. You will be part of a cross-functional team focused on the onboarding and early stages of our vendors. At least 5 to 7 years of experience in developing Android applications. At least 2 years of experience as a Staff engineer of a similar position, supporting hands-on with your expertise in several teams. Native mobile app development experience using Kotlin. Strong foundation in Computer Science (data structures, algorithms, software design). Solid experience with Android Architecture Patterns, Coroutines Flow, and Modularisation Strong understanding of Room for local data storage and caching. Deep understanding of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment processes. Be a leader and a model, setting high standards for engineering excellence, performance, scalability and security by example and mentorship Drive technological improvements through RFCs or other tools to explain, discuss and align decisions, paving the future of our solutions. Gain expertise with our internal design system and use it to ensure seamless experiences across our brands. Fluent English communication skills. Experience in working with agile methodologies.
