ROLE SUMMARY: Sotogrande International School, in southern Spain, is seeking expressions of interest from experienced Science teachers with a background in IB Environmental Systems & Societies (ESS) and General Science for Secondary School (ages 11–18), starting August 2026. For more information and to register, please click here: KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Teach IB ESS and General Science to secondary students (ages 11–18). Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in line with the IB Diploma Programme. Assess, record, and report on student progress in accordance with IB and school expectations. Contribute to curriculum development and departmental initiatives. Support the holistic development of students through co-curricular or enrichment activities. Collaborate with colleagues to maintain high academic standards and foster a positive learning environment. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE: A degree in Biology, Environmental Science, or a closely related Science subject. A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent ). Experience teaching IB ESS and/or General Science at secondary level. Knowledge of IB assessment, pedagogy, and philosophy. Excellent classroom management, interpersonal, and communication skills. A collaborative and proactive approach to teaching and departmental development.
