About the role As a Solution Design Manager at Maersk you will be an integral part of establishing our Contract Logistics capabilities in Europe. You will be a key driver for growth using a strong analytical approach to act as a trusted advisor on designing and solutioning warehouse proposals supporting the local sales organisations to win large‑scale opportunities. We consider candidates based anywhere in Spain or France. What you’ll be doing Support customer proposals by designing solutions including warehouse layouts, staffing, equipment/resource calculations, IT requirements, operational processes and flows, and costs – all in accordance with HSSE and quality requirements. Assist in developing and preparing new logistics concepts and value propositions based on identified best technical and organisational solutions, including automation. Engage proactively in the sales process for contract logistics opportunities to act as technical support to area sales, safeguarding operational viability of the solutions sold. Build market and product knowledge and ensure this information is shared with all relevant stakeholders and colleagues in the wider business. To succeed in this role we believe that you can offer Strong Contract Logistics (3PL) experience Experience in international supply chains with an understanding of the value drivers of supply chain and how that can help customers deliver value to their business Customer‑focused mindset and a data‑driven approach with the ability to analyse and translate into appropriate solutions and action plans Strong warehouse and distribution operational background and understanding, including extensive knowledge of technologies that support warehousing processes, automation, and modelling warehouse solutions with proven vertical‑specific understanding of trade, regulatory, statutory and security compliance requirements and technological solutions Financially astute and analytical with knowledge of logistics processes, solution‑design outlines and methodologies Solid technology skills that include a comprehensive understanding of WMS requirements Enjoys collaboration and has a proven track record in a matrix multi‑cultural organisation building strong relationships and networks both locally and internationally Agile and self‑starter who enjoys working in a high‑pace and versatile environment Key skills Organisational Management Presentation Skills Agile / SAFe AWS Solution Architecture Conflict Management Data Management Scrum Team Management Pre‑sales Management Consulting Maersk is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace and we embrace different styles of thinking.
