Mission The mission of Speechify is to make sure that reading is never a barrier to learning.Over 50 million people use Speechify’s text-to-speech products to turn whatever they’re reading – PDFs, books, Google Docs, news articles, websites – into audio, so they can read faster, read more, and remember more. These include frontend and backend engineers, AI research scientists, and others from Amazon, Microsoft, and Google, leading PhD programs like Stanford, high growth startups like Stripe, Vercel, Bolt, and many founders of their own companies.What You’ll Do Pitch, prototype, test, build, ship, and refine new featuresRefine our UX/UI patterns across our iOS and Android appsRethink our onboarding and core user flowsInfluence the product roadmapRefine our process and help shape the design orgAn Ideal Candidate Should Have Experience: You can demonstrate work that includes research, discovery, prototyping, and delivery of consumer-facing products across multiple platformsProduct thinking: You understand strategy and can articulate what and why as equally as how. You embrace analytics and work side-by-side with PMs to pinpoint key opportunitiesCustomer-centricity: You’re comfortable talking with customers and know how and when to use their feedback in the design processCollaboration: You know how to inspire, play, and negotiate with opinionated PMs, engineers, and execsCraft: You’re skilled at typography, information design, and micro-interactions. You’re curious about audio. You understand what’s feasible in iOS, Android, and the browserCommunication: You’re articulate and able to explain your ideas at various resolutions.
