TP Greece is expanding its AI & Data Solutions division and building one of the strongest data annotation and labeling hubs in Europe , supporting global clients in AI, machine learning, automation, and next-generation data operations.We are looking for an experienced Data Annotation & Labeling Manager to lead high-performing teams working on multilingual, multimodal datasets for computer vision, NLP, generative AI, and conversational AI projects.This role is ideal for professionals currently working in EU-based outsourcing/annotation companies, BPOs, data labs, or AI service providers who want to join a rapidly growing, innovation-driven environment.Key ResponsibilitiesLead, mentor, and develop an internal team of annotators, reviewers, and QA specialists.Drive hiring, onboarding, and continuous training programs in coordination with TP’s Talent & Learning departments.Build a performance culture with clear KPIs centered on quality, speed, and consistency.Manage workforce planning for multilingual teams across shifts and projects.Annotation Operations & Quality AssuranceEstablish and maintain annotation guidelines, quality frameworks, and SOPs for diverse data types (text, audio, image, video).Implement quality control pipelines including inter-annotator agreement metrics, sampling methods, and accuracy validation.Conduct regular audits and define corrective actions to meet client and project quality standards.Ensure compliance with GDPR and internal data security protocols.Project Management & Workflow OptimizationCollaborate with Data Scientists, ML Engineers, PMO teams, and clients to define annotation requirements and delivery timelines.Plan project scope, resource distribution, and scheduling for high-volume annotation streams.Drive workflow optimization through tooling improvements, automation opportunities, and process redesign.Evaluate and implement platforms such as Label Studio, Labelbox, CVAT, SageMaker Ground Truth , or TP internal tooling.Manage relationships with external partners when annotation outsourcing is required.Strategic Growth & Process InnovationContribute to the strategic roadmap of TP Greece’s Data Solutions center.Identify opportunities for scaling annotation operations across new languages, modalities, and client verticals.Introduce best practices in human-in-the-loop (HITL), active learning, and semi-automated labeling pipelines.Track industry trends in AI/ML and introduce cutting-edge annotation methodologies.Reporting & Cross-Functional CommunicationDeliver regular reporting on throughput, quality, productivity, and team performance.Present data-driven insights to leadership and customer stakeholders.Clearly communicate risks, blockers, and proposed solutions.Align annotation goals with broader AI/ML objectives and client expectations.Required QualificationsEducation & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Linguistics, Cognitive Science, Statistics, or related field.5+ years of experience in data annotation, data operations, or AI data processing environments.3+ years managing medium-sized annotation teams (in-house, remote, or distributed).Proven experience delivering labeling projects in computer vision, NLP, conversational AI, or similar domains.Technical SkillsStrong command of annotation tools (Labelbox, Label Studio, CVAT, Ground Truth, etc.).Understanding of ML fundamentals and how data quality affects model performance.Familiarity with quality metrics: accuracy, precision/recall, inter-annotator agreement, Cohen’s Kappa.Ability to analyze metrics using Excel, SQL, or Python.Working knowledge of data security standards (GDPR, ISO27001).Leadership & Soft SkillsExceptional people management skills with a passion for coaching teams.Strong organization, prioritization, and multi-project management capabilities.Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail and quality.Ability to thrive in fast-paced, scaling environments (BPO or tech preferred).Preferred QualificationsExperience running multilingual or cross-European annotation teams.Prior work in a BPO, AI data services provider, or large-scale data labeling environment.Understanding of annotation types (NER, sentiment, semantic segmentation, keypoints, OCR,
