Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Data Scientist to join our Digital Sales Hub in Barcelona. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in data modelling, a strong analytical mindset, and the ability to turn data into actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities:
Conceptualize, follow up, and deliver analytics projects, including definition of data sources, data pipelines and consistency of data models.
Design, customize and implement statistical and predictive models to optimize sales processes and strategies (XGboost, SVM, clustering, attribution models, statistical ranking models…)
Develop and present comprehensive data-driven insights and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders, ensuring that complex data insights are understood and actionable.
Mentor and guide junior data analysts and data scientists, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Review and oversee tasks performed by juniors, ensuring accuracy and quality of work.
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field. A PhD is a plus.
5+ years of experience as a Data Scientist, preferably in a sales or business analytics role.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and technical leadership.
Proficiency in Python, advanced knowledge of SQL and experience with large-scale cloud data analysis frameworks and data governance.
Ability to find the simplest modelling solution according to the characteristics of each problem.
Ability to extract and translate business metrics and questions from data sets into well-documented and actionable insights.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex data-driven insights clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Fluent in English; proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
