About the CompanyUniversally Speaking (US) is a world‑class partner to the games industry, ensuring that Indie and AAA titles are polished before release.Role OverviewWe are opening a studio in Madrid and looking for a linguistics QA (LQA) specialist. The position is full‑time, Monday‑Friday, day shift, starting 9:00 am. It is an on‑site role at Alvento Business Park, Vía de los Poblados, 1‑3, 28033 Madrid.What You Will DoPlay and test games to find linguistic bugs.Check in‑game text for accuracy, correctness, and cultural compliance.Learn and follow the Universally Speaking LQA process and professional standards.Write detailed bug reports using industry‑standard bug databases.Ensure bugs are fixed and implemented correctly.Become an LQA expert across projects and specialise in targeted areas.Create and execute test cases throughout the project lifecycle.Participate in test requirement gathering with developers to support all game features.Identify improvements and take ownership of additional activities.Cooperate with the QA team.Measures of PerformanceQuality, velocity, and precision of bug reports.On‑time delivery.Teamwork and communication.Continuous improvement and knowledge of LQA workflow.RequirementsExpertise in Polish.Proficiency in written and spoken English.Passion for video games.Team player, able to work under pressure and tight deadlines.Pro‑active, tenacious, enthusiastic.Strong eye for detail and quality focus.Computer literacy: Word, database handling, MS Office Suite.Right to work in Spain – no sponsorship offered.Additional Skills (Nice to Have)Experience in LQA, translation, or proofreading.Experience with LQA testing tools (test case management, text editing tools).Knowledge of CAT tools (e.g., MemoQ).Knowledge of the video‑game industry and trends.Bachelor’s degree or higher in linguistics (desirable but not essential).BenefitsFixed‑term contract.On‑site training and learning from experts.Office located in Madrid, Alvento Business Park.Salaries €17 k‑19 k per year, depending on experience.Seniority LevelEntry levelEmployment TypeContractJob FunctionOtherIndustryIT Services and IT ConsultingLocationMadrid, Community of Madrid, Spain#J-18808-Ljbffr
