This requires talented people to build and manage the infrastructure that keeps Amazon running.We are currently looking for an experienced, detail‑oriented individual to join our Data Center Engineering Operations Team. This team maintains the critical physical infrastructure that supports our data centers, ensuring they operate at 100 % availability while delivering first‑class customer service to internal teams and groups.As a Data Center Engineering Operations Technician (EOT) you will operate and maintain all electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment within the data center. The EOT serves as a technical resource to support Amazon’s owned and operated data centers. You will support equipment that maintains better than 99.999 % uptime and will be tasked with driving innovation while reducing operational costs.Amazon offers an exciting, dynamic, and challenging environment that encourages creativity and personal development while maintaining secure, scalable, and cost‑effective computing environments.ResponsibilitiesAssist in the operation and maintenance of all electrical, mechanical, and HVAC equipment within the data center/facility.Assist in maintenance and monitoring of all data center systems, including incidents, events, problems, changes, monitoring, problem escalation, notification, resolution, and all other aspects of data center support.Monitor and troubleshoot all mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems, voice/data, chiller systems, and generators.Provide assistance to contractors or data center engineers to ensure proper operation and maintenance of all facility equipment covered under level I and certified areas (e.g., fiber optic, electrical certification, HVAC repair, UPS, generator certifications).Assist in deployment of new equipment, such as building racks, cabling, and other tasks as necessary.Respond to internal rack customer maintenance, repair, and expansion requests via the ticketing system.Perform site walkthroughs to verify proper operation of facility equipment and monitoring systems.Maintain changes in state of mission‑critical infrastructure in support of corrective and preventive maintenance.Review test quality, performance, safety, and reliability of products, equipment, and processes.Key job responsibilities: AWS Infrastructure Services (AIS) owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure.
