Join to apply for the Bioinformatician role at Vall d'Hebron Institute of Oncology (VHIO) Reference: Application deadline: 18/10/2025 Number of vacancies: 1 The Joan Seoane Lab at the Vall d’Hebron Institute of Oncology (VHIO) is seeking a highly motivated Bioinformatician , focused on translational cancer research. Our group integrates molecular biology, genomics, and clinical data to understand tumor biology and develop precision medicine strategies. Responsibilities Analyze and integrate high-throughput sequencing data (Spatial Transcriptomics, WGS, RNA-seq, scRNA-seq, ATAC-seq, etc.). Develop and apply computational pipelines for genomic, transcriptomic, and epigenomic studies. Collaborate with wet-lab scientists and clinicians to design experiments and interpret results. Contribute to biomarker discovery and predictive model development. Support data visualization, reporting, and dissemination of findings in publications. Requirements MSc/PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, or related field. Strong programming skills. Experience with NGS data analysis and relevant bioinformatics tools. Familiarity with statistical modeling and machine learning is a plus. Ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team environment. Excellent communication skills in English.
