About the Role & Team As Infrastructure Engineer , you will be involved in exciting technical challenges by analyzing, troubleshooting, and designing vital infrastructure components, platforms, and infrastructure while always thinking about reliability, scalability, resilience, security, and performance. In the SITA FOR AIRCRAFT – Customer Service & Operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the availability of production mission‑critical customer‑facing data centers across multiple regions, as well as providing 24×7 on‑call support on a rotating basis. You will contribute to the creation of a more consistent, automated infrastructure, monitor and respond to system notifications and alerts, and continuously optimise, secure, and improve our systems’ performance, security, and reliability. What You’ll Do Implement an enterprise‑wide Platform Operations Engineering culture by disseminating your best practices, approaches, enhancements, and documentation. Be able to troubleshoot complex, cross‑platform issues involving servers and OS, virtualization, and containers in a cloud‑based SaaS environment such as MS Azure, as well as manage live production incidents, debug/troubleshoot infrastructure issues, and implement Platform Operations Engineering best practices. Manage routine system tasks such as updates, backups, availability checks, and performance monitoring. Work closely with the DevOps team and various departments to ensure the system is responding properly to non‑functional requirements such as performance, security, backups, and high availability of the infrastructure. Apply automation and software to any tasks or parts of the system that would benefit from it or are performed manually. Collaborate with various business departments and suppliers to ensure alignment with ISO 27001 processes and compliance with all necessary regulations. Document your system knowledge as you acquire it over time, create runbooks, and ensure critical system information is readily available to those who need it. Ensure infrastructure maintains its high standard of security by regularly carrying out mitigation and preventive maintenance tasks. Participate in the analysis and management of the performance of infrastructure. Provide 24×7 on‑call support on a rotational basis, usually once per month. Qualifications Minimum 4+ years’ hands‑on experience. Strong experience in implementing, monitoring, and maintaining infrastructure. Demonstrable experience with Python, Linux, Docker/Virtualization. Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible/Puppet/Chef, etc.). Extensive experience supporting and managing hypervisor‑based products/infrastructure (VMware, Kubernetes, Proxmox, etc.). Knowledge of at least one major cloud provider (MS Azure, AWS, or GCP). Basic programming and scripting skills (preferably Golang, Bash, shell, etc.). Overview and understanding of network routing, load balancing and networking protocols, a base knowledge of TCP/IP, HTTP and DNS. SRE & Agile methodologies with a B.Tech./B.E. degree in Electronics & Telecom or Computer Science. Nice to Have Demonstrated understanding of ITIL methodologies, ITIL v3 or v4 certification.
