Senior Project Manager (Remote/hybrid-Barcelona) for an International client Job role: Senior Project Manager Location: Remote or hybrid from Barcelona Languages required: English Studies required: Bahcelor's degree Minimun experience required: 7 to 10 years Rate: 280-300€/day. DESCRIPTION: Knowledge Strong knowledge of project and program management methodologies, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and control. Understanding of structured project management frameworks and governance models. Knowledge of risk, issue, dependency, and constraint management, including escalation practices. Familiarity with budget, scope, and resource management principles. Understanding complex, matrix organizations and cross-functional collaboration models. Awareness of regional and global project environments, including cultural and stakeholder diversity. Knowledge of documentation and reporting standards, including status reports, dashboards, and executive presentations. General knowledge of HR processes and/or insurance or similarly regulated industries (preferred). Requirements University degree or equivalent higher education. Minimum of 5 years’ experience successfully leading regional and global projects, preferably in insurance or similar industries. Demonstrated experience working in complex, international organizations with diverse stakeholders. Prior experience in insurance, financial services, or a similar industry is preferred. Experience managing or supervising junior resources. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong conflict management and negotiation skills. Excellent organizational and time management abilities. Project management certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Agile) are considered a strong advantage. Specific Expertise MANDATORY Proven ability to lead complex regional and global projects or initiatives within broader programs. Expertise in managing multiple projects and workstreams simultaneously. Strong capability to develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, resourcing, and dependencies. Demonstrated experience in tracking progress against plans and ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to scope. Advanced skills in risk identification, evaluation, mitigation, and escalation. Ability to apply and enforce consistent project management methodologies and best practices. Strong stakeholder management skills, working effectively with IT, Business, HR, and other functions. Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, including preparation of senior management materials. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and synthesis capabilities. Ability to work independently, showing high levels of proactivity, organization, and adaptability. Proven experience in coaching, mentoring, and supervising junior project managers.
