Events & Communications Manager, ULI Spain Location: Madrid, Community of Madrid, Spain. Position Summary This role supports the ULI Spain team as an Events and Communications Manager, furthering the mission of ULI and the Spain National Council. Responsibilities include growing and retaining membership, organising high‑quality events and programmes for diverse member cohorts, and communicating these activities effectively. Work closely with colleagues across ULI in Europe, including other National Council teams, the National Council support team, European Marketing and Communications, Business Development and Membership. Essential Responsibilities Develop and execute a comprehensive events and marketing/communications programme that supports the organisation’s objectives. Manage, plan and assist in the content and logistics of national council events (digital and physical) and programmatic activity for flagship events and various member communities. Prepare event budgets, track finances, handle invoicing and liaise with vendors. Oversee relationships with third‑party contractors, procurement processes and supplier negotiations. Identify and secure speakers, develop content, and align events with ULI Spain’s programme of work. Manage event logistics before, during and after each event and streamline delivery. Leverage events to maximise membership growth and engage non‑members post‑event. Produce high‑quality marketing materials (copy, emails, newsletters, brochures), manage social media campaigns, community management and website updates. Collect, analyse and report on marketing and event performance, including delegate feedback surveys. Engage proactively with members at all stages, providing onboarding support and ongoing value. Maintain and analyse membership engagement data, support the Executive Committee and other meetings, and manage additional operational duties as required. Qualifications Independent self‑starter capable of working with minimal supervision. Experience as an events or project coordinator/manager, including content and marketing coordination. Strong organisational and time‑management skills with a commitment to detail. Ability to handle multiple priorities and adapt quickly. Ability to negotiate with third‑party suppliers. Experience supporting business plans, budgets and cost tracking. Collaborative, partnership‑oriented team player. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to interact with members and staff at all levels. Outstanding customer/member service orientation. Proficient written and spoken English; native or fluent Spanish is preferable. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel). Knowledge of social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram) and basic digital marketing skills. Bonus: Design skills (WordPress, Canva, basic HTML) and real‑estate industry knowledge. Occasional travel within the UK and Europe. Working Conditions Based in the Madrid office with a minimum of two (preferably three) working days per week on site. Attendance at member events is required. Dress code for events ranges from business casual to business smart depending on the occasion. #J-18808-Ljbffr
