As a Workplace, Health and Safety (WHS) Manager, your role is key to driving improvements on‑site and at a regional level. You’ll help your colleagues maintain high standards, all while driving a culture of safety and inclusivity on your site.Key job responsibilitiesManage your team on‑site, whilst regularly collaborating with other teams across the companyUse internal reporting tools to analyse data reports and root causes that provide leadership with the information they need to make safety related decisionsProvide guidance and arrangements for health and safety projects and policiesDrive programmes designed to improve the safety culture in AmazonA day in the lifeThis is an extremely varied role based at one of our sites, allowing you to directly contribute to many aspects of our safety culture. You will manage health and safety standards while improving functionality and efficiency. You’ll also manage your team and help them implement changes in response to employee feedback or seize opportunities to continuously make process improvements.Your role is instrumental in keeping employees safe, managing their satisfaction, and supervising their wellbeing and productivity. You’ll step in and take ownership of health and safety to foster a culture that revolves around operating safely.QualificationsEducation to a degree level and qualification in Técnico Superior en Prevención de Riesgos Laborales (including specialisations in Seguridad en el Trabajo, Higiene Industrial y Ergonomía & Psicosociología aplicada) following Spanish Health and Safety regulationsRelevant experience managing a teamRelevant experience complying with local Health and Safety legislationAdvanced proficiency in verbal and written English and the local languageExperience with Lean, 5S and Kaizen methodologiesQualifications or experience in the field of sustainabilityRelevant experience of communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, including your peers and leadershipChartered membership of a Human Resources industry body (e.g., IOSH) to support people managementAmazon is an equal opportunities employer.
