Introduction to the Vacant Position The Biomimetic Systems for Cell Engineering Group is looking for a Senior Researcher. Main Tasks and Responsibilities Make strategic and scientific contributions to the development and integration of a bioreactor for a biohybrid actuated catheter. Develop novel microfabrication techniques (micro structuring and protein patterning) compatible with soft hydrogels. Establish assays, optimize experimental procedures, and develop analysis pipelines for experiments of cell dynamics in co‑cultures. Generate original ideas and develop testable research questions within the strategic framework of the project and the research program of the group. Take day‑to‑day responsibility for the organization of scientific and administrative tasks, deliver objectives on time, and delegate work to team members as appropriate. Draft reports to funders and other partners, regularly write research articles for peer‑reviewed journals, and lead seminars to disseminate research findings. Essential Requirements Ph.D. in Biomedicine with postdoctoral experience in bioengineering and biophysics focused on the development of biomimetic cell culture environments. At least six years since obtaining the doctorate (date of doctoral thesis defense; for multiple doctorates, the first one).
