Position: Maintenance Supervisor Department: Maintenance About the Role We are seeking a dedicated, proactive, and highly skilled Maintenance Supervisor to join our Engineering team at RIU Swahili. This role is key in ensuring that all hotel facilities, equipment, and systems operate smoothly, safely, and efficiently. You will lead a team of technicians, coordinate daily maintenance activities, uphold preventive maintenance schedules, and ensure that all standards meet RIU’s world‑class expectations. What You’ll Do Supervise, coordinate, and guide the daily tasks of the maintenance team. Conduct regular inspections of hotel systems, equipment, and facilities to ensure optimum functionality. Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs across the property. Allocate tasks based on priority, expertise, and operational needs. Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and provide technical guidance to team members. Maintain accurate maintenance logs, reports, and documentation. Liaise with external contractors, suppliers, and service providers when necessary. Ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental practices, and hotel operating procedures. Support the Chief Engineer in planning maintenance strategies, budgeting, and department improvements. Respond promptly to urgent repair requests to minimize downtime and disruption to guest service. ✔️ What We’re Looking For Proven experience as a Maintenance Supervisor or Senior Technician, ideally in hospitality, large facilities, or similar environments. Strong technical knowledge of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and general maintenance operations. Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, manuals, and schematics. Excellent leadership, communication, and team‑coordination skills. Strong problem‑solving mindset with a proactive, hands‑on approach. Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing operational demands. Organized, reliable, and committed to maintaining the highest standards. Relevant technical diploma or vocational certification in engineering/maintenance fields.
