You will use the latest technology to improve, streamline and automate our plant processes, reducing the need for human interaction and maximising efficiency. You will be responsible for the planning, implementing, operating and monitoring of systems. We are seeking an automation engineer with a robust background in electronics and instrumentation.The ideal candidate should be proficient in assembling complete PLC systems, encompassing both digital and analogue sensors to variable frequency drives. Additionally, the candidate must be able to program basic automation and develop straightforward Human Machine Interfaces (HMI) for pilot plants and testing environments. Proficiency with Siemens PLCs and associated systems will be highly valued.ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will be responsible for leading and executing all tasks required to deliver a complete automation system for a chemical process at pilot scale, while also guiding and supporting the team in scaling up to demo and full commercial operations. Work in collaboration with the team to define the process control philosophy in a continuous optimisation framework. We are looking for enthusiastic individuals that possess future leadership capabilities.
