Being a Product Designer at Mercadona Tech
We base our decisions on data, carry out research continuously, and test each proposed solution with users.
We define and launch workshops in which all disciplines are involved from the start; the strength is in the team.

Technology at our Design teams:
Within MTech, the product designer participates in defining the strategy and understanding the problem, taking into account business expectations and thus ensuring its execution. A PD in MTech is focused on the user, capable of working in small iterations, and highly focused on research (functional). They use the design thinking methodology and need to be in continuous contact with the product and frontend (as they build user interaction) but also with the process side, as they must understand what is happening in the hive or in the store and what problems may arise.
Tools of a Product Designer: Sketch, Figma, Origami, FramerJS, or equivalents.
About You

To be a successful Product Designer at Mercadona Tech, you should feel comfortable working with agile methodologies, design thinking, and team dynamics until you understand the root cause of the problems. Don’t be afraid; we will help you learn advanced design/research concepts if you need it.
What you already bring to the table
- Ability to ideate, prototype, and test concepts on any platform.
- Fluency in applying user research methodologies and knowing how to apply good practices.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies in continuous delivery environments.
- Communication skills to transmit concepts and promote their potential impact.
- Ability to work in a team with humility, receive feedback, and give it constructively.
- Ability to adapt design methodologies and processes to different circumstances or collaborators.
- Spanish fluency and communicative English skills.
