**Job Title:** Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
The CML Advocates Network is seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to serve as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). This role will provide strategic leadership, planning, and operational management to the network.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-level strategic leadership, planning, and operational management to the CMLAN Steering Committee.
- Lead the network, supporting and guiding its mission, and implementing and reviewing the network's vision, strategy, and priorities.
- Communicate effectively with the Steering Committee and provide timely and accurate information necessary for informed decision-making.
- Ensure good governance of the network.
Financial Performance and Viability:
- Ensure fiscal integrity of the network, including submission of an annual budget to the Steering Committee.
- Manage financial resources, including planning and supervising the execution of the annual budget.
- Prepare quarterly financial statements reflecting the network's financial condition and progress against plan.
- Work with the Chair to ensure maximum resource utilization and maintenance of the network in a positive financial position.
Strategy and Operations within the Network's Mission:
- Drive the development of the network's Strategic Plan and evaluation processes to ensure successful fulfillment of its mission and prioritization of actions based on strategic objectives.
- Ensure professional planning and implementation of key initiatives, programmes, and projects, including budgeting, financial management, and evaluation of performance, impact, and outreach.
- Conduct regular performance, impact, and outreach evaluations of all network activities.
Network Operations & HR:
- Administer CMLAN's operations, establishing administrative policies and procedures for all functions and day-to-day operation of the network.
- Oversee the launch, funding, and execution of new initiatives and projects.
- Review and approve contracts with service providers, contractors, funders, and partners.
- Oversee staff work to ensure long-term sustainability of the network, including hiring, supervision, retention, and performance management.
Network Communications:
- Enhance CMLAN's public image through external representation at a high level.
- Oversee all communication activities and ensure consistency and timeliness of messaging.
- Be active and visible in the patient community and with other stakeholders.
- Communicate the network's course and plans with internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:
- Experience in executive leadership roles, such as Executive Director, CEO, or CFO within non-profit organizations.
- Proficiency in key areas like employee motivation, relations, problem-solving, and grant writing.
- Strong skills in negotiation, project management, and public speaking.
Special Conditions:
- Location: Preferably EU Member State
- Willingness to travel (30 days/year, approx.).
- Ability to work outside standard weekday hours and on weekends if needed.
