Senior SAP ABAP Developer – Financial Systems (m/f/d) Location: Barcelona, Spain (Hybrid) Take your SAP expertise to the next level in a truly international environment. We're working with a global technology organisation supporting one of the world's leading financial services groups. The company builds and runs large-scale IT and digital platforms used across dozens of countries - and is now expanding its financial systems development team in Spain. This role sits within their Investment & Treasury Systems division, developing and enhancing complex SAP solutions for financial instruments, securities, and derivatives. It's an ideal position for an experienced ABAP developer who enjoys both technical depth and functional collaboration. The Opportunity Develop and maintain SAP TRM/FAM solutions focused on investments, securities, and derivatives. Design, code, and implement new functionality in ABAP, ABAP OO, and related SAP frameworks. Support system integration, data interfaces, and accounting-related developments (IFRS9, IAS39, HGB). Participate in S/4HANA transformation projects and explore new technologies like SAP RISE and Fiori. Collaborate closely with international colleagues, business analysts, and finance teams. Act as a mentor to junior developers and contribute to knowledge sharing across the team. About You 5+ years of experience in SAP ABAP development, ideally within finance-related modules. Exposure to SAP TRM or FAM (Investment Management) – securities, derivatives, or loans is a big plus Understanding of financial accounting principles and standards (IFRS9, IAS39, HGB). Hands-on experience with integration work (IDocs, DMEEX, APIs, or interfaces). Experience with S/4HANA, SAP RISE, or Fiori/UI5 is a plus. Strong communication skills in English; able to work independently within global teams. Collaborative, curious, and motivated to grow in a specialised, high-impact area of SAP.
