We’re looking for a talented Operations Manager to join our team and help define what the world thinks of Octopus Energy Spain. You will be part of a growing Operations team, playing a key role in streamlining processes and implementing new approaches and effective ways of working. Key metrics Reduce our cost to serve & operational risks/complexities What you'll do Take full ownership of the day-to-day running of Core Customer Operations. Be ultimately accountable for ensuring we hit our KPIs, e.g., 95% answer rates on the phone, 100% compliance for our deliveries. Define how our KPIs should evolve as the business grows. Manage headcount forecasting and drive hiring to ensure teams have the right skills and numbers. Manage a team of ~2 Team Leads, coaching and inspiring them. Empower team leads to own their team’s success. Lead project management for reactive work and industry challenges. Review existing arrangements, suggest alternatives, and highlight risks and outcomes. Lead implementation of new approaches, customer journeys, system changes, and training tools. Own complex problems, generate solutions, and implement them. Support the team during busy periods, including hiring, managing interns, and reporting. What you'll need An operational mindset focused on scope, implementation, and scaling. Ability to thrive in ambiguity, ask incisive questions, and approach problems systematically. Strong analytical skills, comfortable managing and interpreting data. Proven ownership, collaboration, and communication skills. Curiosity and a track record of positive impact. Experience with spreadsheets and software tools. Experience in a high-growth company. SQL query skills are a plus but not essential.
