As part of our growing Security Advisory practice, we are looking for an Information Security Advisor to join our team in Barcelona . Your Responsibilities As an Information Security Advisor , you’ll be a trusted partner to both central security teams and local business stakeholders. Your goal: ensure that security practices, tools, and policies are effectively understood, applied, and continuously improved. Lead and contribute to threat modelling activities, identifying potential attack paths and helping design secure architectures. Support and advise engineering and product teams on cloud security best practices , with a strong focus on AWS environments . Participate in security assessments and policy reviews , helping translate technical findings into actionable recommendations. Collaborate on tool evaluation and integration (e.g. vulnerability management, monitoring, or compliance tools). Provide guidance during incidents and contribute to post‑incident analysis and prevention measures. Act as a security ambassador , fostering awareness, knowledge sharing, and a proactive security culture across teams. Who You Are You have between 4 and 7 years of experience in cybersecurity, ideally in advisory, governance, or technical security roles. You have hands‑on experience with Threat Modelling (e.g. STRIDE, DREAD, MITRE ATT&CK). You understand AWS Cloud Security fundamentals (IAM, Security Hub, GuardDuty, SCPs, network segmentation...). You are familiar with information security frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, OWASP, GDPR). You have basic knowledge of secure coding and web application security principles. You’re proactive, analytical, and enjoy collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. You are fluent in English (spoken and written); Spanish or French is a plus. Why Join SQUAD?
